(I) Spatial Layout and Functional Positioning
As the final curtain on the stage, the cyclorama is suspended in the upstage area. Maintained at a standard clearance of 60 cm from the rear wall, it establishes a distinct spatial zone for visual expression:
• Background Presentation: Through the use of lighting projection, it facilitates the creation of various scenes, such as natural landscapes and architectural environments.
• Movement Design: The reserved passage space ensures that performers can move rapidly along both sides of the curtain without disrupting the rhythm of the performance.
(II) Adaptive Modifications for Small-Scale Venues
In space-constrained settings - such as small theaters and school auditoriums - the cyclorama frequently serves a dual role, functioning simultaneously as the rear curtain. This establishes a foundational configuration scheme consisting of a "Main Curtain + Rear Curtain":
• Spatial Optimization: A single curtain fulfills the dual functions of presenting the background imagery and demarcating the stage space.
• Cost Control: By simplifying the curtain system configuration, this approach reduces the construction and maintenance costs for small to medium-sized venues.
